Dry ice blasting

What is dry ice?

Dry ice is:

  • odorless and tasteless
  • bacteria-inhibiting
  • non-toxic
  • non-flammable
  • inert

Dry ice is carbon dioxide (CO2) in solid form. The term “dry” refers to the property of evaporating directly. Dry ice has a constant temperature of −78 °C and sublimates directly into the gaseous state.

What is dry ice blasting?

Dry ice blasting removes various types of contamination using modern technology with little effort and is particularly environmentally friendly.

CO2 and the environment

The use of industrially produced CO2 does not contribute to global warming, because this carbon dioxide is a waste or by-product.
